Up until now, citizens have had to deal with extremely high prices for electricity that can never be relied upon and have had to circumvent the “load-shedding” by government-owned and managed enterprises through the purchase of very expensive generators that run on fuel that is not cost-effective. “Load-shedding” refers to the practice of turning off the power to different areas on an alternative basis in order to reduce the overall load on the power-grid due to the fact that there is not enough power in the system to power all areas at once.

 

Previously, solar solutions have been met with low interest on account of the high capital costs involved with the initial setup.
